About the LiftMaster Model H
The LiftMaster Model H is an industrial-duty hoist commercial door operator with Logic 5.0. In plain terms: it is the same class of industrial jackshaft motor as the Model J, with a built-in floor-level chain hoist for manual operation if power fails. Most commercial jobs want that backup, so we often quote the H. It side-mounts on the wall for high-lift or vertical-lift sectionals, and can wall- or hood-mount for rolling doors and grilles. Available in 1/3, 1/2, 3/4, and 1 HP — we size horsepower to the door weight and use.

Choose the H when you want industrial jackshaft performance and a built-in chain hoist for power-outage / emergency hand operation — that is most commercial jobs. Choose the J only when you do not need the hoist on the operator. For standard-lift sectionals with a ceiling track, a trolley (T) is usually the better fit. Heavier / higher-cycle work may step up to GH.
